Italy introduction & ISA meeting

We were greated in Florence by the ISA staff. We settled in Hotel La Residenza. Our rooms we very accommodating and then we left to walk to the ISA building for a meeting. The meeting was very detailed and ISA assured us a great time, where to go on our free time, and even gave us cards for museums to visit during our stay. After that was the introduction dinner down the street at the pizzeria. We all got to share some stories and see what we wanted to do the next day.

Opening Travels to Italy

Italy's trip overall was a success. With many flights we all took, we managed to meet our groups in Newark and or New York to go over flight and trip information. Once we landed in London, we took a flight from Pisa to Florence. The 6/7 hours to London was the long duration of the flight. London's airport was filled with fashion stores and food stops to keep the next flight more comfortable. The flight from London to Pisa was only 1 hour, which was nice.

Madrid

Madrid was our last stop. We took a bus to Madrid and the city was amazing. The hotel rooms we so big and nice with a kitchen. The museo del prado was also beautiful. It was probably the best museum there. The long columns and water fountains were amazing and it was a beautiful day I remembered. On our free time, we toured Realmadrid's futbol stadium. This stadium capacity is approximately 80,000 and has ran over that capacity a few times. In '82 it hosted the FIFA World Cup, as well as many Cup Finals in the '50's, '60's, '70's, and '80's. The stadium is most famous for it's rich history (equivalent to the New York Yankees) and constant success in league play every season.

Granada

Granada was our next stop. We packed up and took and overnight train (12 hours) into the beautiful countryside of Granada. Although the ride was uneven, we were still able to enjoy our time on the train. We went to the portion of the train that had a diner and we talked most of the night. The rooms we shared, although small in size, we managed to get some sleep. We woke up and opened our window to see the countryside of Granada. It mostly resembled a desert like brown land and turned into green when we got closer to our stop. We got off the train and went to our hotel. Hotel Los Angeles was the best hotel we stayed at. The balcony and inside structure as far as the rooms and hallways were amazing. This was the most peaceful stop of the tour.

Tour 1: Barcelona

The first tour we took in Barcelona was amazing. We toured outside and viewed much of Barcelona. The outdoors reminded me of a scene from Indiana Jones, with the vines, tries, branches, and palm trees that surrounded the area. The smell of the area was also of a cool temperate climate and the air was very clear. The colorful tiles on the building were displayed in many places. On top of ceilings, around windows, and also in the form of lizards and other animals from water fountains. This tour was gave me something to look forward to for the rest of the Travel Learn.
